The Three Little Pigs in Galilean Aramaic
Steve Caruso
The Three Little Pigs in Galilean Aramaic A tongue nearly lost to time and error, Galilean Aramaic was the language of Jesus of Nazareth and early Rabbinic Debate. Sadly, outside of highly technical tomes there are not many "normal" works for the student to enjoy in easy to digest portions. To remedy this problem for his children, Steve Caruso began to translate fables and short stories into Galilean, and now through RogueLeaf Press they are available to anyone who wishes to read stories in this unique and largely-neglected dialect. This edition includes: - Beautiful illustrations by L. Leslie Brooke. - Trilinear text: a) Galilean Aramaic with Palestinian Vocalization Markings. b) A transliteration of the text for easy pronunciation. c) The English translation. - A lexicon at the back of the book that lists all words used in the story; and, - Two brief appendices that expound upon the transliteration and vocalization system.
