KandiTreats is a fictional story, which adresses increasing human trafficking crimes, throughout the Bay Area and the Country. The stories main character Kandi, suffers a childhood of bullying, rape and parental neglect. The abuse that Kandi experiences, causes her to be a danger to herself and to others. Raised in a single family home by a negligent mother, Kandi easily mistakes attention for love. At the tender age of twelve, Kandi is raped and abused by her adolescent boyfriend. After being cheated on and betrayed by her love, she quickly adopts passive-agressive behaviors; she uses these traits along with her beauty, to munipulate men for money. Kandi then spirals down, into a life of prostitution, which leads to human trafficking, pimping and eventually prison. By the grace of God, Kandi discovers, that the love and attention she'd been longing for, must come from within.
