Can Any Guitarist Even Dream? Vol 1 Beginnings introduces basic guitar chords and notes to the novice guitarist with fret board fingering exercises and strategies of movement, playing with a pick and finger picking. Basic music theory, playing by note and playing by ear are all introduced along with the concept of numbering notes and chords in the tradition of the Nashville Numbering System. Small tests are included to reinforce the information and skill set. CAGED? Vol 1 Beginnings covers open major, minor and dominant seventh chords, the notes in first position and beat counting in 4/4 and 3/4 time signatures. CAGED? Vol 1 Beginnings is the result of teaching guitar, bass guitar and music for 45 years and getting tired of writing the same things down over and over again. The first version was written in 1996.
