A "who didn't do it?" mystery based on history. In real life, Otto von Habsburg (1912-2011), last crown prince of Austria-Hungary and heir to the ancient title King of Jerusalem, declined an invitation to serve as temporal ruler of Jerusalem's ultra-Orthodox Jews who do not recognize the state of Israel. In the novel, he delegates the task to a fictional nephew. The result is a story of international intrigue and cultural conflicts, including gay, straight and celibate life styles. The hero ends up in the middle of the Middle East quagmire on a journey of self-discovery. Involved are neo-Nazis, the Vatican, the UN and the dance world. See review by Paul Parish in Bay Area Reporter for July 31, 2014: "...could not put it down...tightly plotted...dialogue spankingly sharp...lightness of being - like that of the ballet."
