Desperate to speak with Loki, Kara finds the elusive god harder to track down than expected. She has spotted him from afar and in one of his shape-shifting forms. Still, she is unable to secure him to establish what his intentions are with the dragons and her friends, which leaves her in an awkward situation.

A dangerous being from the past delivers a message that leaves Kara and her friends battered. It carries a requirement that goes against every bone in her body. If she doesn't adhere to the warning, then she is promised a painful death after watching the torturous demise of her friends.
