My life has been a constant litany of storms. Abused as a child and riddled by addictions, I hid behind a 'composed veneer.' Bound by shame, I ran. From backpacking through South America, road-tripping solo across Australia, to droving cattle in the outback, I avoided pain at all costs.

It did nothing.

There was no relief in running. There was no relief in hiding. There was only release in facing my pain, head-on.
