Damien Goes to Hell
Bill Jonas
Damien is a poor lad who falls in love with Rachel, a girl of privileged upbringing. Her parents have arranged to have her wed a despicable yet wealthy man whom she detests. When the man catches Damien and Rachel together, he strangles the girl and blames it on Damien, who must then leave town to avoid arrest and a certain, if unjust, conviction. Before leaving town, Damien stops by the graveyard for a last farewell to his beloved friend. He waits for the funeral procession to exit, but before he can approach her, a gruesome beast steals Rachel from the casket and drags her off. Damien learns that her soul has been taken to Hell and he vows to do what is necessary to rescue her. "Damien Goes to Hell" is a white-knuckle ride through a dark labyrinth of wicked sorcery and sinister forces bent on destroying the resolute but naive soldier of passion.
