This story, begun many years ago as a love letter, is about seeing things from another person's viewpoint. Having worked in preschools and after raising two children of my own, I decided to shape this very personal letter into a picture book. After 9-11 I realized that I needed to use many, diverse faces instead of the original "You and Me." This poem is about all of us and how we need to walk a while in one another's shoes. This is a picture book you can share with your preschooler, one that beginning readers can enjoy, but also one that has a message for more experienced readers about trying to understand each other.
