The grandfather, from his very young oulaw years as Hasten Homer Tirrell to his final years as Reverend Acey Lykens. The grandmother Mary, the pious wife left behind, and Lillie, the wife's best friend who had waited for years for the opportunity to be with him. This series follows each of their lives. Acey and Lillie's run from family members, a private detective, as well as local law from each town they passed through,altering the gangs lawless ways to fit thier needs. Family confrontations led him to kidnap his oldest son but was forced to leave the second behind and the Tirrell Gang to regroup to continues their escapaeds.
