This novel is a spy thriller that is historically correct and takes place during World War II. A bizarre set of circumstances separate German twins at birth. Karl is reared in Germany as a Nazi and becomes a pilot in the Luftwaffe. Jacob migrates to America and volunteers for the RAF before America entered the war.

Karl is shot down over England and is captured. Jacob assumes his identity and is inserted into Germany by British SIS and the American OSS. Karl?s Uncle is Wilhelm Canaris, the head of the Abwehr, which was Germany?s Military Intelligent Organization. Because of a head wound Karl suffered when he was shot down he (or rather Jacob) is grounded by the Luftwaffe. Jacob is so convincing in his impersonation of Karl that he convinces Canaris to have him transferred to the Abwehr as his adjutant. This gives Jacob access to Germany?s military and government secrets which he passes on to Allied intelligence. The intriguing plots and twist will keep the pages turning. A surprise ending will make you gasp.
