Five professionals are wiped out financially by the System. One doctor, one lawyer, one teacher and two real estate tycoons meet separate catastrophes. All were guilty of diverse white collar crimes. They not only loose their wealth; but wives and toys as well. A daring kidnapping scheme hijacking 24 elite private school students becomes their only hope. The escape leads to Caracas, Venezuela. In return for denouncing the United States policies toward Venezuela and the War in Iraq, the Goldenhoods are granted protection by Hugo Chavez. Many of the students turn on the White House Administration and remain in Venezuela as do-gooders. Their influential parents support some of their turncoat kids ideals. An influential Congressman is the father of one of the rebellious girls. He leads a Congressional move to rescind the War Powers Act of 1973 and disables the President's power to wage war. The Goldenhoods receive their $40 million ransom payoff from the United States. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED all around? Not quite. The surprise ending might upset the applecart.
