Sandra followed closely their counsel. Having gained all the above, she nearly lost everything while performing an act of kindness. She realized the self-appointed gurus giving out such advice were cynics who never experienced the sweet pain of first love. Her past had more to do with molding of character, attaining recognition as a top-notch newscaster, and keeping friends. On the night of the station sponsored charity auction, Sandra learned that life seldom followed preset rules. What happened as the auctioneer's gavel finalized the bid not only caused her to strengthen her resolve to be the best, but to give in to a human phenomenon called, love.
