Jennifer Haslett Vandergriff loses her husband Paul in a helicopter crash after five wonderful years of marriage. Subsequently she inherits Global International Travel, and discovers she is wealthy and pregnant. Jennifer silently deals with fears the child will be born with the mental illness her mother had. Because she also suffers from severe Postpartum Depression, her doctor suggests she return to Greece where she met Paul. Leaving Everett with his grandparents in Wendelstein, Germany, she travels to Leros in search of peace. En route Jennifer encounters an organization of international terrorists dominated by fanatically religious people and criminals seeking large profits, and learns about her husband's secret life. She meets two men ? one she believes works for Interpol; the other one, an evil man, she suspects has the answers she seeks. Frighten by what she has stumbled into, she wonders if she will live long enough to achieve her goals . . .
