T. J. is a craps dealer with a gambling problem and works in Las Vegas; here people gamble to win time, and running out of time literally means death. T. J. and Carla begin their life together determined to stop his gambling. A new danger arrives in the form of Carla's best friend who becomes obsessed with T. J. and will stop at nothing to have him.
