Tyler Landry is a twenty-something corporate attorney living in the DC area. Her past with men has been filled with disappointment but she has learned to play the game just as well, if not better, than her male counterparts. Tyler appears to have everything, the money, the looks, and the career but in spite of her success she's questioning her choice to be a corporate lawyer and can't fight the feeling that has been gnawing at her: "Something has gone awry. Then while away on a weekend trip Tyler meets Kevin Pearce, a star player in the NBA. His relentless pursuit causes her to give in but Tyler's past with men has made her slightly cold and indifferent but mostly afraid. The relationship is filled with obstacles and she fights her love and his every step of the way.
