A pragmatic view of teenage life through the eyes of Ashley Scheid, a seventeen year old basketball prodigy whose homosexuality tests the boundaries of relationships. Feuding with family, primarily her homophobic mother who cannot support her only daughter's love of sports, and falls into complete denial when discovering that her daughter is a lesbian. Testing friendship with her closest childhood companion as the ties that bind begin to unravel helps her evaluate who really is important in her life. Succombing to an unexpected love while holding onto the security of the past is an impossible situation for everyone involved. All of these experiences prove that there is always pressure at The Foul Line.
