Turning the World Upside Down B. Fink
Turning the World Upside Down
B. Fink
This tale of teenage discovery and rebellion was too radical for publishers in the 1970s. Based on a true story, it follows Allison and her adventurous friends as they discover strange brown gunk in the water at their usual summer swimming hole. Analyzing the stuff, they figure out who is producing it and why, and want to find a way to put a stop to it. They are led to take on the company, their own hypocritical parents who work there, and the whole town they live in. To create a world fit for them and their values, they find they have to turn the whole world upside down.
