You are a conscious being that is aware of the fact that you have awareness. Close your eyes for a moment and observe your thoughts. Who is observing what thought? What is being observed by whom? How does one reconcile this intrinsic dualism that exists within each and every one of us? When we talk about spirituality, we are referring to this awareness of being aware and how it coexists with the mind and body. All of these abstract notions tied together is what we mean by the word "spirituality" or "the spirit consciousness." As humans, we are all searching for truth, meaning, purpose, acceptance, validity and ultimately for some kind of external authorization. We are trying to find our path. We are trying to find ourselves. In that search, some of the most critical treasures we desire are acceptance, validation and authorization for our existence. Authorism is the religion of self-discovery and self-authorization. It is an ideology of reason and spirituality which strips away old, offensive and inappropriate dogmas and deities thereby putting forth a religion that is comforting, welcoming and completely relevant for the twenty-first century. The audience for this book is the general public, in all walks of life, socioeconomic brackets and religious and ideological affiliations. The objective of this book is to provide a published record to the world, of the thoughts, principles and ideology of Authorism and the Church of Not.
