Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. A poorly understood, but crippling disease affecting many warriors returning from the horrors of combat. Mike Pallaso, a Marine veteran of Vietnam, returned suffering from the pain of that war, but through the intercession of a wise mentor, is able to use his extraordinary talent as an artist to beat back the demons in his mind and achieve a fragile normalcy in his life. His memories of that journey, however, lead him to help a couple of young Marine veterans from the war in Afghanistan struggling with the trauma of their own combat experiences. Mike's intervention in their lives, coincidentally involving them in his own climatic artistic struggles, takes them together on a journey in search of a path towards spiritual rebirth.
