David Freeze was ready for a big challenge, and he wanted to see some of America he had yet to visit. Organized and experienced, Freeze took his trusted Surly Long Haul Trucker bike west to San Diego, ready to begin yet another solo cycling journey. Up and down, mostly up for the first 1,000 miles, David battled extreme heat, endless challenging terrain and long distances between supply points for most of the next 3,000 miles over 43 days. Meet another unusual cast of characters along the way as he visits California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida. David mixes his faith and unusual determination on this often extreme journey, sometimes just a few feet from the Mexican border.
