The word rejection is defined as "the act of rejecting something." It is not uncommon for any of us to experience rejection. We are often rejected by those who are very close to us-by our families, friends, and even some of our church members. Many of us have been rejected over and over again. I have learned that some people have a fear of being rejected. They do not like the feeling of being alone. When a person feels alone, it is common to reach out to others for love, support and validation. There is no need to look any further-you can reach out to God. I have been rejected, and it did not feel good at all. The effects of being rejected pushed me right into the arms of my Heavenly Father. I have established a true, God-fearing relationship with Him. I believe that you, too, can move from rejection to relationship with God. One songwriter says, "I've searched all over and I can't find nobody like You, Jesus." Take a look what He did for all of us. "He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions; he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he opened not his mouth" (Isaiah 53:3-7). Jesus' suffering was well worth it. He endured so much pain and hurt. He made the sacrifice for us. We were purchased with the blood that He shed. We need to take a minute to give thanks to God
