My cancer tumor was so large they gave me three months to live. The lessons I learned in surviving cancer, the operation, and rehab can help most people to win their own fight. I have included them in this story. My daughter Ruth convinced me I should tell this story, just by sitting with me one summer day and gently remembering with me the beautiful three years we all shared since cancer almost killed me. My cancer survival taught me lessons about life and about myself. The lessons I learned can help someone else get through their own ordeal.
