Contributor Bio:  Outside Magazine Outside magazine has been in publication since 1977.    It has received six National Magazine Awards, including the award for reporting in 1997 and the award for general excellence in both 1996 and 1997. Contributor Bio:  Vaughn, Bill Bill Vaughn was activated on Feb. 4th 2003 during his last se-mester at C. S. U. N. He served with the Navy SeaBee's building a bridge during the invasion of Iraq, Convoys into Iraq and around Kuwait. He returned to finish his last classes in September of 2003. He has a Masters degree in Leadership and manage-ment from the University of La Verne and has completed his first 2 years of classes in the Educational Doctorate Program in Organizational Leadership at Pepperdine University.
